Empower Society welcomes businesses, nonprofit organizations, service providers, schools, colleges and universities, healthcare organizations, community organizations, programs, and other entities that provide services, resources, products, programs, or opportunities that may benefit individuals with Down syndrome, autism, other abilities, and the families who support them.All listings are subject to review to help ensure alignment with the Empower Society platform and the communities we serve.

Do we need to be a nonprofit?

No. Empower Society is open to both for-profit businesses and nonprofit organizations, as well as schools, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, community-based organizations, and other qualified providers.

Can businesses outside of Illinois join?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Empower Society is a growing digital platform available in 170+ countries. Organizations are not required to be located in Illinois to join.Whether you serve families locally, regionally, nationally, or virtually, your organization may be eligible to establish a presence on the Empower Society platform.

Can organizations with multiple locations participate?

Yes. Organizations with multiple locations are welcome.If your organization operates several locations, serves multiple geographic areas, or needs expanded visibility across the platform, contact our team to discuss the best visibility option for your organization.

Question 5

How quickly will our listing go live?

Accepted Answer

Once your Visibility Plan has been selected and your required listing information has been submitted, our team will review your information before publication.Annual Visibility Plans: Listings are generally published within approximately 48 hours after all required information and payment have been received.Monthly Visibility Plans: Please allow approximately 7–14 business days for your listing to be reviewed and published.You will receive confirmation when your organization's listing is live.

Can we change our listing later?

Yes. We understand that organizations grow and information changes. If you need to update information such as your services, website, contact information, location, or other listing details, you may submit an update request to our team.

Yes. We welcome schools, school districts, colleges, universities, vocational programs, training providers, and other educational institutions that offer relevant programs, services, resources, educational opportunities, or support.Institutions interested in broader engagement beyond a standard listing may also contact us about customized partnership opportunities.

Can we cancel or change plans?

Yes. Monthly plans may be canceled in accordance with the applicable subscription terms. If you would like to upgrade or change your Visibility Plan, contact our team for assistance.Annual plans provide visibility for the applicable annual term. Please review the terms associated with your selected plan for applicable cancellation, renewal, and payment provisions.

Will our information be sold or shared with third parties?

No. Empower Society does not sell your information to third parties.Information submitted for your public organization listing is used to create and maintain your presence on the Empower Society platform and provide the visibility features associated with your selected plan.Information intended for your public listing such as your organization name, website, services, business contact information, location, and other information you authorize for publication may be displayed to Empower Society users as part of your listing.Private account, payment, and administrative information is not sold to third parties.
